Who is the person that inspires you most? My Parents. My work ethic, my devotion to family, my faith, my common sense, everything about me is from my Mom and Dad.

Who is the person (outside your family) that inspires you most?NASA Astronauts -- I was mesmerized buy space from young age. Those who went to space were my heroes. Guys like Alan Shepard, Guss Grissem, Neil Armstrong (My favorite being a fellow Purdue Alum), John Young and Robert Crippen were larger that life and inspired me to do well in school to follow them into space. Part of the reason I went to Purdue was to go the school that more astronauts have graduated than any other college. Although my academic career took me in a different path, I am still captivated by those that get the chance to see our world from above.

Who is the most interesting person you have actually met? Orvil Renenbacker -- I met him at an awards banquet, he grew up with my Great Grandfather. He was a very down to earth person. What he portrayed in his commercials was real and not just an act. He was very nice and very willing to talk to even a 10 and 14 year old (my bother and I at the time).

Most interesting computer problem that you have encountered:Working on the Y2K issues at a previous employer. What was most interesting was the divergent views within our own organization. The owner of the company and my supervisor took the view that was going to be TEOTWAWKI (The end of the world as we know it). The main computer tech had absolutely no concern at all. I ended up in the middle wanting to cover our bases but I was not expecting the world to end. It was a challenge to deal with both ends of the spectrum and keep those in charge happy with the progress of updating computer and keeping a tech working on what he felt was a waste of time
